About
Enjoy an authentic sushi-making experience with your family and friends in a traditional Okinawan house.
Learn how to make sushi from a professional sushi chef, create your own sushi by hand, and enjoy it fresh on the spot.
Experience Japanese food culture while enjoying the relaxed feeling of living like a local in Okinawa.
Spend a special and memorable time around the table, unique to Aonosato.
Each guest will make and enjoy 8 pieces of sushi.
We use seasonal seafood, including locally sourced fish from Okinawa as well as carefully selected fish from across Japan. Our sushi chef chooses the best ingredients available each day, with an emphasis on freshness and seasonality.
If you have any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or ingredients you cannot eat, please let us know in advance by email or other means.
Complimentary tea and water are provided during the experience.
Sake, beer, awamori (traditional Okinawan spirit), and other alcoholic beverages are also available for purchase on-site.
To make your sushi-making experience even more memorable, we provide complimentary rental of traditional Japanese happi coats, samue outfits, and cooking caps. Feel free to dress up and take photos to remember your experience.
Original sushi-themed tenugui (traditional Japanese hand towels) are also available for purchase on-site.
At the end of the experience, you will receive an original sushi recipe to take home, so you can continue making sushi after your trip.
We hope your sushi-making experience becomes more than just a memory of Okinawa — take a little piece of the experience home with you and enjoy making sushi again with family and friends at your next home party.
